RUSSELL & BROMLEY X BRITISH FASHION COUNCIL PATRONAGE

For 2024, we’re proud to announce that Russell & Bromley have become a Patron of the British Fashion Council (BFC). Embarking on a Patronage with the BFC is an important milestone for Russell & Bromley’s journey. As a brand, we’ve chosen to become a BFC Patron as we’re strongly committed to driving and supporting the thriving British Fashion industry.

As Patrons, we will play a key role in supporting the BFC, delivering significant and impactful programmes that benefit the industry at large. The BFC exists to empower and engage all within the British Fashion industry to play their part in positive growth, in becoming an industry with purpose, and as a Patron, our contribution to this is vital.

We’re excited to be joining a unified community of brands that advocates for creativity and innovation, whilst collectively supporting and championing the fashion industry to keep growing.

RUSSELL & BROMLEY X LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION BA (Hons) CORDWAINERS FOOTWEAR

This Spring, we’re championing emerging young talent by partnering up with footwear students at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (LCF) on a student project.

At the end of February, we’ll be visiting LCF’s brand-new state-of-the-art campus at East Bank on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, to announce the student winner of our Russell & Bromley x LCF BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear brief which has tasked rising young designers to dream up a new collection for Russell & Bromley Autumn 2024.

a comment from Jennifer Anton, brand director

The second-year students have been working for a term on the live industry brief, with the winner securing a 3-month internship at the Russell & Bromley head office and cash prize. Mid-term check-ins with the Russell & Bromley team and visits to the brand’s archive at head office have helped bring the brief to life, whilst giving the students the opportunity to learn and be guided by industry experts along the way.

From concept development to prototype execution, students brought fresh creativity and showcased a spectrum of skills. From all the designs being submitted as part of this project, there will be one overall winner, and two runners up, selected by a Russell & Bromley judging panel.
